A young lady took to Facebook to share how she bravely battled cancer and survived. Despite losing an arm in the process, she is currently happy and well, adjusting to her new life.
Joy Arcilla shared how it was in 2013 when she first noticed a small bump on her arm. Seeing as it looked more like a mosquito bite, she merely brushed it off. However, months passed, and the bump never went away. Instead, it even grew bigger.
At the age of 16, Joy was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare type of cancer of the bone or soft tissue.
In the same year, she went through surgery to have the cancer removed. The doctors then assured her that her sarcoma was already completely gone, but it came back in 2014.

The young lady was told that she would have to undergo 17 cycles of chemotherapy. However, Joy refused to continue after her 5th cycle, insisting that it was too painful for her physically and emotionally. She then tried other natural alternatives, but to no avail.
Eventually, the sarcoma grew so big that her arm had to be amputated to prevent the cancer from spreading all over her body. Joy permanently lost her arm last December 2017.
