A special birthday request from a teen diagnosed with cancer, Aaron Stamper is asking for a mailbox full of birthday cards as he turns 16. Aaron Stamper’s mother Diane told WLEX-TV, “it would mean a great deal to know it would bring him joy.”
His mother continued, saying each card will give Aaron the courage and will to keeping fighting the disease.
Aaron was turning 13 when he was diagnosed with lymphoblastic t-cell 2 leukemia. One year later, his brother Ethan died in a car accident.
“I’m dreading it very much because we need to celebrate Aaron’s birthday, but at the same time, we’ll be celebrating the anniversary for [Ethan’s] death, too,” their mother said.
Birthday cards can be sent to Aaron at his home at 2795 Pea Ridge Road, Irvine, KY 40336. His birthday is Sunday, April 2.
